Discover Your Aesthetic
Whether you have a napkin sketch, a fully thought-out idea, or would like help coming up with an initial concept, we want you to share it with us. We’ll conceptualize your ideas into a holistic design and provide a framework to streamline the entire lifecycle of your project.

One of our early meetings together is called “Discovery.” We’ll ask you to share your concept for your business space, inspiration, timeline, and cost parameters so that we can get a deep understanding of your goals. We’ll draw from your inspiration to create a concept deck composed of sketches and imagery that conveys your brand and vision.
Develop Your Design
Our in-depth approach ensures that we iron out all design details. After our Discovery Meeting, we’ll define the overarching design direction and capture it in a combination of sketches and photos. Once approved, we’ll begin working on specific designs within the space. If relevant to your project scope, we can create final drawings and documents for permitting.

After creating the concept deck for your project, we develop all the design details for your space. Everything within your space (e.g. furniture, plants, textiles, cutlery, decor, etc.) is representative of your brand. We’ll design custom furniture and fixtures, or spec and source the ones that meet your aesthetic.
If relevant to your project, we can share technical aspects of designs and construction documents with third-party collaborators to help with planning or permitting.
Create Your Concept
Once finalized KKDW plans are delivered, we will draw upon our decades of experience in the hospitality industry to support you in sourcing and purchasing, as well as vendor acquisition for your project. Our team is proficient at collaborating with third-party contractors and architects to realize your vision.

Many design elements within a KKDW space are fully customized and manufactured by our trusted vendors. We source the rest to complement the aesthetic. We use the designs created in the previous phase to ensure that everything is built and constructed to the desired specifications and standards. Depending on your project, we may also be collaborating with architects and general contractors.

The end result is a fully immersive environment that is unique to your brand and the people who will experience your business. Your space comprises all the finishing details that capture the essence of your brand, including styling, sourcing furniture, and stocking all the odds and ends your team or guests need.

We create fully immersive experiences by communicating the brand voice through the space’s layout, decor, furnishings, and finishing details. At the end of this stage, we have styled your space with custom furniture we’ve designed or sourced to be the perfect fit, arranged the greenery outside the entryway, and stocked the drawers with everything your guests need to make it feel more than move-in ready.
